Nurnberg has seen another player transfer as Jannik Hofmann joins Rot-Weiss Essen permanently. The 24-year-old full-back, born in Bayreuth, joined Nurnberg's youth academy in 2008 and has progressed through all age groups since then. Hofmann made his first-team debut in February 2024 and has made a total of ten appearances. After a loan spell at VfB Stuttgart II, he moved on loan to Rot-Weiss Essen last season, narrowly missing out on promotion to the 2. Bundesliga. Following a successful season in the Ruhr region, he has now signed a permanent deal with Rot-Weiss Essen. In his farewell words, Hofmann thanked Nurnberg and emphasized that he will always remain a Cluber.
