The Fursty Razorbacks have had three weeks off to work on their weaknesses. Whether it's helped will be shown on Saturday against Nurnberg. Forstenfeldbruck – Since the latest defeat against Albershausen, it's probably clear to even the most optimistic that the Fursty Razorbacks have arrived in the relegation battle. Since then, the Brucker TuS footballers have had three weeks off. Time they used to take up the fight for the class retention fresh. That's what the Nurnberg Rams will experience at the home game on Saturday, 18:00, at the Ländestadion. „We made a week's break to regenerate“, reports head coach Lukas Schmid. Then it went two weeks in full. „We have intensively prepared for the game against Nurnberg and focused primarily on our offense.“ It's been just 16 points from five games so far. „We need to regain our scoring power“, says Schmid. ## Key players must be replaced That's missing right now has to do with the personnel situation at the Bruckers. Especially the absences of running back Jan Wierczioch and wide receiver Laurin Neumeyer are hurting Schmid. Nevertheless, the coach is fighting: „We'll manage that.“ And that's with the healthy players, whose role is now more in the focus. The Razorbacks have used the break to adapt their game style to the strengths of the remaining squad. The fans at the Ländestadion can therefore expect some changes. The guests from Nurnberg are old acquaintances for the Bruckers. However, the latest duel is already a bit back. Because in the previous season, the Franconians were still a league lower. As promoted, they have since placed themselves in the table ahead of the Razorbacks with two wins and three defeats: sixth place in the South Group. ## Good but inconsistent opponent „Nurnberg is a good team that, however, fluctuates in performance“, says Schmid. He has observed good and bad games. Typical for a young squad, like the Nürnberger one. „It will be a bit about the current form on Saturday.“ The Razorbacks can, however, breathe a sigh of relief. The recently absent running back Leon Richter is also back on board, as well as defense ace André Pfrieger. Also, Schmid has a good impression of quarterback Maximilian Veit: „He's benefited from the break.“ (Andreas Daschner)
