Nurnberg has defeated promoted team Dynamo Dresden 2-1 and is thus continuing on its way up. Just 14 seconds into the game, Rafael Lubach put the visitors ahead with the first attack of the game. It was the fastest goal of this 2. Bundesliga season so far. Dominik Kother scored the surprising equalizer in front of 31,749 spectators. Tim Janisch scored the visitors' second goal, which was enough for the win. Nurnberg dominated the game and gave the club security. Dynamo Dresden goalkeeper Lennart Grill prevented the 0-2 in the 31st minute when he spectacularly deflected a side-foot shot from Mohamed Ali Zoma around the post. The equalizer came surprisingly because the hosts had not created a clear scoring opportunity until then. Kother was only accompanied in the penalty area and was able to finish precisely. Nurnberg took the lead again after the break. Even after the side change, Nurnberg seemed more focused. Consequently, they scored again. After that, the visitors withdrew and waited for counter-attacks, which occurred more frequently. Dynamo was trying, but simply not precise in their passing game. Chances arose nonetheless, but Nils Fröling missed a good opportunity. Not much more was achieved by the hosts against clever Nurnberg. Coach Miroslav Klose was satisfied with the win. Nurnberg moves up to ninth place with the win and now has 21 points. Dynamo Dresden is still waiting for its first home win of the season and remains in a relegation spot.
