Nurnberg HubNurnberg has prematurely extended the contract of homegrown talent Tim Janisch on his 20th birthday. The originally until 2026 bound right-back signed a new long-term contract.
What does this mean for Nurnberg?
The native Nurnberger was one of the top performers in the 2. Bundesliga last season. After initial individual appearances under coach Miroslav Klose, Janisch secured a regular spot in the second half of the season.
Why is this important for the club?
He increased his market value from 200,000 to 1.5 million euros in just half a year. „Tim is a prime example of our club's philosophy: promoting talents from our own youth and giving them the chance to prove themselves at the highest level“, said sports director Joti Chatzialexiou.

Janisch, who has so far made 19 appearances for the FCN pros, added: „Nurnberg is more than just a club for me – I grew up here and I made the leap into the professional sector here.“
