Nurnberg has strengthened its squad with the signing of Can Moustfa from Energie Cottbus. The 21-year-old left winger is expected to support the club in the 2. Bundesliga. Sports director Joti Chatzialexiou said: „With Can, we gain a versatile dribbler who made a name for himself in the 3. Liga last season.“ Can Moustfa himself said: „I am incredibly grateful to the management for the opportunity to play here and will do everything to justify the trust placed in me with my performance.“ The new player can be used not only in his regular position but also in the offensive midfield or as a right winger. Last season, he made 27 appearances in the 3. Liga, scoring two goals and providing one assist. Striker Mickaël Biron is no longer part of the squad, having joined from Belgium in the summer of 2025 and will play for Turkish second-tier club Batman Petrolspor on loan in the upcoming season. Sports director Joti Chatzialexiou said: „For all parties, Mickaël's transfer has been anything but satisfactory so far. He never really found his footing in Nürnberg.“ The „Club“ professionals are nearing the end of their vacation and will begin their first unit of the new season on June 29 at the Sportpark Valznerweiher.
