Nurnberg's Walking Football team has successfully defended their title from last year and won the SC Eckenhaid tournament in Eckenthal again. They impressed in the preliminary round and ultimately dominated the other seven participants. The Walking Footballers are now kicking off their outdoor season. Training will take place as usual on Mondays at 11 am at the Sportpark Valznerweiher. Everyone who wants to join in or try it out is welcome. If enough new walkers are found, there will be a second training group that will start at 10 am. The next dates, tournaments, and friendly matches are already set: While the Walking Footballers are looking forward to the duel with the Viennese and the further games, the older club members are not just about football. At least equally important to them are the joint walks, sporting activities, and social gatherings.
