Nurnberg strengthens coaching team with Sommer

Nurnberg has signed Sebastian Sommer as its new tactical analyst. The 38-year-old will focus on game and opponent analysis.

Sommer previously worked for Borussia Dortmund and spent the last three years at RB Salzburg.

Sommer's career began at the DFB, where he worked in analysis for the U15, U16, and U17 national teams.

Joti Chatzialexiou, Nurnberg's sporting director, knows Sommer from the DFB and holds him in high regard: „With his appointment, we get a meticulous analyst on our team who can teach the boys a lot about team tactics.“

Sommer will now focus on the tactical aspects of the game and support head coach Miroslav Klose. Nurnberg's coaching staff has changed for the 13th time since Klose took over in the summer of 2024.
